Synopsis
In 2015 I was invited by the curator Marie Loffreda to develop a photographic project on Dubai. The aim was to build a visual memory, recording everyday situations, placing a photographic image between documentary and poetry, in a record rooted in the tradition of Robert Frank, William Eggleston, Walker Evans, Stephen Shore or Alec Soth where a wandering Resulting in an eclectic mix of individuals, landscapes and interiors. Visually what has fascinated me the most for a dream side, a plastic and not real side that is confused with a reality. I was particularly interested in photographing the sites, the Emirati and trying to touch a way they live their intimacy. I could not stay the same as this city of the United Arab Emirates evolved in so few years thanks to oil and commerce, sprouting from the sands of the Arabian desert. PVP
